Tips for looking your best in a family photoshoot.

I’ve been caught out before.

Not noticing some of these little details that later annoy me like crazy, once I have the photos up on my computer screen.

Here are some things to consider that you may not have thought of, that will save me getting frustrated with myself while I’m editing your photos.

1 Keep jewellery to a minimum. Keep it simple.

Too much draws attention away from your face.

2 Wear glasses with regular lens instead of transitions. You can ever wear just frames (no lens) to avoid any reflection issues.

3 Empty your pockets

4 leave your digital watch behind.

5 Take the hair tie off your wrist

6 Do your hair the way you normally would when wearing the clothes you have chosen.

You want it to represent who you are not just what you look like.

If you are planning a haircut or new style, make sure it’s a least two weeks before your photoshoot so you have a bit of time to live with the new look. Let it grow out just a little.

Can you tell I’m a detail person. Yep absolutely. It’s always the little things.

And trying to remember them all, all the time is a challenge.
