Clothes for Dads in Family Photos…

My pastor likes to joke that before he was married, he thought he knew how to dress himself but apparently not. It got to the point he would sit on the bed with his kids and wait his turn.

Anyone else relate?

It honestly doesn’t take much to style up a dad for family photos.

Here are some guidelines…

Choose well-fitted long pants/jeans over shorts. The viewers focus should be on the face not the hairy legs.

Check the shirt is long enough especially if dad is likely to be throwing kids in the air or mucking around with your kids. Raise your arms above your head and see if it rides up too far.

Choose for collared shirts over t-shirts and polos. Long shirts rolled up mid-arm.

Go for darker shoes over white trainers or shoes with neon accents. Brown is a good choice. Make sure your socks blend in.

See that’s not too hard – maybe they could manage it all by themselves.

But then again….
